|Atlantis Energy Systems Sunflower featured as ‘picture of the month’ in the November issue of Photon Magazine!Austin, Texas – December 7, 2009 – Atlantis Energy’s ‘Sunflowers’, a unique decorative solar power collector, was chosen as ‘picture of the month’ for the November Photon Magazine issue, featured at the 2009 Solar Expo in Anaheim, California. The 18 to 24 foot tall public art ‘plants’, generate electric power by day and, through their luminescent pistils, cast an electric glow at night. Total power rating of the 15 Sunflowers is 15.1 kW—or about enough to power 2.5 homes. They are located on a public pathway near the I-35 freeway running north to Dallas and Fort Worth.
